Soooo all my extended family lives in California (Or Illnois, or Australia) so I was a very sad little girl at Thanksgiving cause it was usually me and my dad at Country Buffet. (It is still ususally me and my dad, but now it's at his friends, or girlfriends, and it has created a lot of good...or at least interesting thanksgivings. Like the Mamopuff Incident.

Anyway, because of this, my mom suggested that we hold a Thanksgiving of our own, with all my friends. I am very much a person who believes family is what you make it And really have never seen the opposite work too well :/ My big, related family is all full of step siblings and half siblings that are as much related as the people I share blood with, and I can guarantee I'm way closer to my girls then any of my cousins. So family is...what your family is, not who you're related to.

So arund Thanksgiving (This time it's Saturday) I have my big family dinner, and it's always something that's made me so ridiculously happy, and reminds me of what really matters, and is everything Thanksgiving should be (Except Thursday)

1. How did we first meet? And, of course, if you don't remember, just make it awesome.

2. Of all the fandoms you've obsessed over (Harry Potter, Naruto, the collective Gaiman, etc.), if you had to pick one to make retroactively cease to exist (to nullify, I guess), what would it be and why?

Gravitation (When i first wrote this I started with Fruba, but fuck that)

Gravitation had SUCH potential to be awesome, if the author coulda written it with both hands instead of having to have one constantly under the table. It had a simple premise, some really good characters...and ended up a bad yaoi fangirls wet dream that makes Twilight look like a health relationship.

3. You only get to keep one pet for as long as you live (ignore any questions about lifespan, etc.). What kind of animal would it be?

A well trained rat. Small and convenient, smart, sweet. Perfect pet.

4. Say you were to go back in time, to right before the Beatles became popular, but right after Pete Best let the band (so he is not an acceptable answer). You have to kill one Beatle. Who is it? (And, assuming you have to pick between just McCartney and Lennon, who would it be?).

This breaks my heart but...Ringo is the most easily replaceable.

And between Lennon and McCartney...McCartney. I'd rather go grab a drink with him, but music wise...Lennon all the way. What I don't like in his solo music I think would be toned down by more George and less Yoko (Don't get me wrong, I'm not a yoko hater but...wtf at her music)

5. Your hands are somehow crippled into an accident, and you can never excel at drawing again. What other artistic medium (writing, singing, photography, designer, etc.) would you attempt to adopt? None is not an acceptable answer.

I'd actually probably turn to science....BUT of only arts, a voice actor. I still sorta want to try to do that at some point in my life. A lot. And hopefully that would curb my urge to wanna punch theater kids.

1.) What is a ridiculous, unrealistic profession you would not mind having. Like... being a stunt double. Or a product tester. Or... you know things that you wouldn't really pursue, but if someone was like "hey, do you want to do this," you wouldn't hesitate to say yes to.

A rock star. Hands down. I actually fantazie about it on a regular basis. Ususally in my car with the sound turned way up. I have music videos planned out and everything.

Like there's a lot of other things (Broadway Actress, DJ, Tattoo Artist which will happen some day god willing) but that one is the biggy.

Normally I'd say "Franz Ferdinand."

But the Beatles have like 80 TIMES the music of Franz, and a ton more variety, and I think I'd have a lot more to get through before I was string myself up to "My Guitar Gently Weeps."

Probably a tie between Axel from Kingdom Hearts and Taya, my Harry Potter OC. <s>Don't judge me.</s> They are just...IDK. I don't really know how to describe it right? They feel...comfortable to play?

Close seconds (Thirds?) Reno, Max Carrigan, Dean Winchester, Naruto, Tsunade, Mamoru (An OC), Fai and Sophie Hatter all come to mind. And probably a bunch more I've forgotten. And like...these ones are all only a fraction behind those two, really.

It was really hard not to just be like DEAN because he super is right now, but I think I need more then like....mo2 nths playing a character to declare them my favorite XD

5.) Whose body would you not mind being trapped inside of for a day?

Uhm. Actually....I don't think I have a specific person in mind, but a type. Some...fairly wealthy good looking guy with shady morals so I can try all the things I don't want to/can't do in my body (Without effing him up. hence the shady morals. I don't wanna take mr. Squeaky cleans and drop acid and fuck up his life any more then mine)

I know I should say something like "Nobel peace prize winner!" but fuck that, I couldn't do anything awesome in a day but screw them up.

OH ALSO. When we went to Disneyland my Parents or someone older told me that airplanes over head were the departing Star Tours (Which, if you've never been is like...a Star Wars themed simulation ride where you are going on vacation in a little like...space shuttle and your pilot fucks up and you end up blowing up the death star. it's pretty sweet)

It was a long time before I realized that those were planes and not Star Tours. (Even not at Disneyland)

Also, the TV show about the family in Lakewood that had a giant carnivorus pet orange.

I often wonder about computer labs. Who in here is writing/reading fan fiction? Posting to their LJ? Doing something that we should be bonding (or bitch fighting) over. I'd love to see two people wanking all over each other in some comm turn around and realize the person they'd just posts a string on insults two...is sitting right behind them.

I started doing new sheets of Chibi's for buttons/sticker at fae X and I'm pretty much in love with all of them thus far. Except the two Chii's. Fluffy lolita does not fit my chibi blob style.

I also have sucked balls at writing, but have been enjoying doing it anyway (In RPs and my little notebook of fanfiction that no one will ever read) I was rereading a bit from a writing prompt from Stephen King and think I might finish it, but it has no way not to end sad.

AND I get to watch my first new episode of Supernatural tomorrow in....5 years I guess. (Two episodes shy of 5 years exactly. actually.)

So, me and mom just had one of our knock down drag out fights, and things are IDK better-ish. We'll see how much our solutions stick.

So I just read a bunch of the comment in RP!S and responded to more then I should have as I have nothing to do with this but some of the fail in there was just mind blowing.

For those that don't keep up on RP drama, an rper passed, unexpectedly, and her friend have been posting in a few RP related comms about it, including RP!S (Which is notoriously wank and anon tastic)

Two things occurred to me:

One about victim blaming that I think gets ignored. Victim blaming is something that, for obvious reasons sits badly with me, but I also hate how our society can push it to the point of not taking any responsibility at all for yourself, and if anyone points it out, they get yelled at for blaming the victim. (And I think that is a rare circumstance, not the norm)

And I think what gets lost is the idea that having a part in what happened=/=being responsible for what happened. Yeah, posting a mourning secret in something that has become an LJ RP specific 4chan type niche is not necessarily the best move....but that doesn't compare at all the horrid comments. That doesn't make them excusable. And it bothered me that somewhere people lost the ability to draw the line between "Yeah, this was a bad idea." and "This is all their fault, they were asking for it." And a comment to the later doesn't make you ALL that much better then the anons. Because I'm sure who ever posted that comment probably figured out that it was a bad idea the first nasty anon comment they got, and blaming them for grieving "wrong" over and over again? Is tackier then them posting it.

The second...how to we mourn online friends who pass?

Mourning is hard, but when you only know someone as words on a screen? Specially if it's the online equivalent of a "good" friend and not a "best" friend. It's not really socially acceptable to go to their funeral, IMO. Your friends and family in real life probably won't "get" it. Posting about it online too much, or in the "wrong" place, clearly, get you labelled as tacky and disrespectful (And although I do agree there are places that are hands down tacky, like say....4chan, there's also a lot of gray area. Is a Myspace memorial tacky? A facebook group? My gut reaction is to say the later isn't and the former is, and I have no logical reason for that. No standards)

We're taught not to mourn in public, but online relationships really are primarily public. Even private journals are us and our 100 closest acquaintances, you know? It's not true with most of my friends lists, but I know I have people on here that, if our relationship was a "real life" equivalent of out online was....it'd be really weird to tell them half the things I say on here. And that's just if I flock things.

I dunno. I really have no answers and this post got WAY long. But it all just got me thinking.
